A miniature extension to the rear provided a beautiful reading room with a glass roof to maximise views of the sky. My Architect also divided an existing bathroom into two small but perfectly formed wetrooms installing space-saving sanitary ware, large mirrors, and white mosaic tiles . These tiny spaces still feel light and spacious.

My Architect re-worked this North London home, adding modern storage solutions, a beautiful walk in wetroom and restoring the original Victorian floors and staircase. The house has been transformed so that work and home life co-exist alongside one another.

Fit in

In many homes small redundant spaces often exist between, behind or beneath buildings, these can be utilised in clever ways to provide unique additional space. Some of the most inspiring design projects of recent years have been created from the least promising circumstances. Cleverly reworking existing configurations to provide more efficient layouts can solve many space problems – coat cupboards can make surprisingly effective wetrooms for example, providing an extra ensuite.
